Ingredients for Sakarkand Halwa


  • 2 Sweet Potato (Shakarkand) Medium size (Boiled & Mashed)
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar (Grind)
  • 2 tbspoon Deshi Ghee
  • 1 Cup Milk 
  • 1/2 spoon Cardamom Powder
  • 7-8 Thread of Saffron/Keshar
  • 7-8 Chopped Pista/Badam for Garnish

How to Make Sakarkand Halwa


  • Add Ghee in heated pan
  • Add Mashed Sweet Potato in that
  • Fry in medium flame 4-5 min
  • Once Sweet Potato Roasted - Add Milk
  • Mix Well
  • Add Saffron (Keshar) in that
  • Add Grind Sugar in that
  • Mix..Mix..Mix
  • Cook 4-5 min - Extra Moisture will soak
  • After 4-5 Min - Once Halwa get roasted well
  • Add Cardamom powder
  • Mix Well
  • Ready to Serve

Serving & Platting


  • Garnish Halwa with Chopped Pista & Badam
