Ingredients for Sabudana Vada



  • 1 Cup Sabudana (4-5 hours soaked)
  • 3 Potato Medium size (Boiled & Peeled)
  • 1 Cup Peanut (Mungphali - Roasted & Grind)
  • 1/2 Cup Coriander (Fine Chopped)
  • 2-3 Green Chilli (Fine Chopped)
  • 1 inch Ginger (Grated)
  • Half Lemon
  • 1 Spoon Cumin Seed
  • Salt(Sendha Namak- If using for Vrat) - As per taste
  • Oil for fry

Preparation of Sabudana vada Mixture


  • Mashed all the Potatoes
  • Add Soaked Sabudana in that
  • Add Crushed Peanuts
  • Add Green Chilli
  • Add Coriander
  • Add Cumin Seed
  • Add Grated Gingerin that
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Add Lemon
  • Mix all the ingredients well
  • Mixture is ready to make Vada
  • Give the shape of vada - put little water on vada's surface to make vada  smooth surface
  • Prepare another Vada in same Manner 
  • All Vada's are ready 

Frying of Sabudana Vada


First Way - Deep Fry


  • Add oil in heated Kadai/Pan
  • Place all the Vada's in heated Oil
  • Flip Vadas both side & fry till Golden Brown
  • All Vadas are turned golden brown
  • Take them out

Second Way - Shallow Fry

  • Add Some oil in heated Pan
  • Place all Vada's in Pan
  • Fry like Tikki
  • Flip another side & fry all Vadas
  • All Vadas are turned golden brown
  • Take them out

Serving & Platting


Serve Vada with Green chutney OR Sauce

         - Mashed all the Potatoes


         - Add Soaked Sabudana in that


         - Add Crushed Peanuts

         - Add Some oil in heated Pan


         - Place all Vada's in Pan


         - Fry like Tikki


         - Flip another side & fry all Vada's


         - All Vadas are turned golden brown


         - Take them out



         - Serve Vada with Green chutney OR Sauce
