Ingredients for Gajar Halwa


  • 1 kg Gajar (Grated)
  • 1 Cup(200 gram) Mawa 
  • 1 Cup(200 gram) Sugar 
  • 2-3 tbspoon Deshi Ghee
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 5-6 Cardamom
  • 5-6 (Chopped) Badam
  • 5-6 (Chopped) Cashew nuts
  • 15-20 Raisins


How to Make Gajar Halwa


  • Add Ghee in heated pan
  • Add grated Gajar in that & Mix Well
  • Fry Gajar in medium flame 10-15 min
  • Stir intermittently else it will stick in Pan
  • After 10-15 min - Gajar has roasted
  • You can see that quantity reduced half 
  • Once Roasted - Add Milk & mix well
  • Add Mawa (Khoya) in that
  • Mix..Mix - so that Gajar cooked well along with Milk & Mawa
  • Cook around 5 min 
  • After 5 min - Add Sugar in that
  • Mix..Mix..Mix
  • Cook 5-10 min
  • Keep high flame once you add sugar
  • Add Dry Fruites
  • Add Cardamom ,Chopped Badam , Pista & Raisins
  • Mix Well & cook 5-10 min
  • After 5-10 min - Gajar Halwa is ready
  • Take them out in servvig bowl


Serving & Platting


  • Garnish Halwa with Chopped Pista & Badam
  • Ready to Serve
