Pav Bhaji - Fun Fact :

Pav bhaji (Marathi: पाव भाजी) is a fast food dish from Maharashtra, India, consisting of a thick vegetable curry (Marathi: bhaji) fried and served with a soft bread roll(पाव)
Originally this dish was created as a fast lunchtime dish for textile mill workers in Mumbai.Now it being served in several restaurants throughout the city.

Ingredients for Pav Bhaji


  • 2 tbspoon Butter
  • 1 Onion Medium size (Fine Chopped)
  • 1 Spoon Ginger- Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Cup Capsicum
  • 1 Spoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Coriander (Fine Chopped)
  • 2 Spoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 2 Spoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Spoon Kasoori Methi
  • 3 Tomato (Grind & Paste)
  • 4 Pav Slice
  • 2 Cup Cauliflower
  • 2 Potato (Peeled)
  • 1/2 Cup Green peace 
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Water for Boiling the Bhaji(Vegetables)

How to Make Pav Bhaji

  • In Cooker add Potato , Cauliflower, Peas & salt as per taste
  • Add 2 Cup Water
  • 3 Whistle in Cooker
  • After 3 whistle - Vegetables are cooked
  • Remove Extra Vegetable Stock
  • Mash with Masher
  • Mashed Vegetables
  • Take a pan & heat that one
  • Add Butter in heated Pan
  • Add Chopped Onion
  • Stir 1 min in medium Flame
  • Add Ginger- Garlic Paste
  • Add Chopped Green Chilli
  • Add Chopped Capsicum
  • Stir 2 Min
  • After 2 min - once spices are roasted - Add Tomato Paste
  • Add Chilli powder
  • Add Pav Bhaji Masala
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Add Kasoori Methi
  • Mix..Mix..Mix
  • Stir 2 min to cook the spices
  • Add Mashed Vegetables
  • Mix..Mix..Mix.
  • Add 1 spoon Lemon Juice
  • Add Vegetable stock
  • Cook all the Veggie 5 min in medium Flame
  • Add Coriander
  • Add Butter on Pan
  • Roast Pav
  • Pav are Roasted -Lets Serve

Platting & Serving

  • Garnish with Coriander
  • Serve with Chopped onion, Green Chilli & lemon slice
