Ingredients for Poha Chivda

Main Ingredients :

Thin Poha  - 3 Cup (200 gram)
Peanuts (Moongphali) - 1/2 Cup
Roasted Bengal Gram (Chana Dal)  - 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts - 5-6 (Sliced)
Dry Cocunut - 1/2 Cup (Fine sliced)
Raisins (Kismis) - 10-12

For Tempering :

Curry leaves- 8-10
Green Chilli - 2 (Fine Chopped)
Chaat masala - 1/2 Spoon
Salt as per taste
Turmaric - 1/2 Spoon
Mustared seed - 1/2 Spoon
Oil for fry


How to make Poha Chivda

Roasting Poha for recipe

- For Poha Chivda recipe , need to dry roast this poha


- Take thick bottem Kadai - to roast the poha 

- Once kadai get heated - add poha in that 

- Now turn the flame low & roast poha for 4-5min.


- Once poha got roasted - keep roasted Poha seperatly in a bowl

Frying Dry Fruits & Tempering spices 

Add Oil in heated pan


Add Mustard seed in heated pan


Add Peanuts



- Add  roasted gram (Chana Dal)



- Add sliced cashew 



- Add Chopped Dry Coconut



- Roast all till light brown
- Dry fruits turns light brown - Add Kismis


- Add Curry leaves



- Add chopped Green chillis



- Fry curry leaves & chilli till crisp else our Poha will get moist


- Add Salt as per taste



- Add turmaric



- Roast all dry fruits with spices


Mixing Poha Chivda

- Once roatsed - add poha 


Mix Poha with spices



- Mix Poha with light hand else poha will break in small pieces


- All spices are mixed - Add chaat Masala



- Mix chaat masala with poha mixture
- Roast 2-3 min poha along with spices


- after 2-3 min
- Poha chivda is ready to serve


Serving & Platting

- Place Pohha chivda in serving bowl
