Mathari Recipes|घर में बनाये हलवाई जैसी Crispy Mathri


Ingredients for Mathari


  • 1 Cup (250 Gram) All-purpose flour / Maida
  • 1/2 cup (70 Gram) Ghee / Oil
  • 1 spoon Carom seed (Ajwain)
  • Salt – As per taste
  • ½ Cup Water for dough kneading

Dough Preparation for Mathari


  • Take flour / Maida in big bowl.
  • Add Ajwain (Carom Seed)
  • Add Ghee/Oil on that
  • Add salt as per taste
  • Mix all this ingredient very gently
  • Add water little by little to prepare tight dough

Making Mathari& Fry


  • Divide the Big dough in small n number of lumps.
  • Small lumps are ready for mathari making
  • Take one lumps and roll it down with the help of Chakla belan OR Press this by hand.
  • Once you make all this mathari, put some 5-6 cuts with help of Knife, so it won’t be fluffy like puri.
  • Prepare all the matharies in same manner
  • Matharies are ready to fry
  • Take Oil in heated Pan
  • Place all Matharies in oil 
  • Flip & Fry in medium flame
  • All Matharies are fried Golden Brown
  • Take them out


Serving & Platting


  • Serve with Tea

         - Take flour / Maida in big bowl.
