Ingredients for Mathari
- 1 Cup (250 Gram) All-purpose flour / Maida
- 1/2 cup (70 Gram) Ghee / Oil
- 1 spoon Carom seed (Ajwain)
- Salt – As per taste
- ½ Cup Water for dough kneading
Dough Preparation for Mathari
- Take flour / Maida in big bowl.
- Add Ajwain (Carom Seed)
- Add Ghee/Oil on that
- Add salt as per taste
- Mix all this ingredient very gently
- Add water little by little to prepare tight dough
Making Mathari& Fry
- Divide the Big dough in small n number of lumps.
- Small lumps are ready for mathari making
- Take one lumps and roll it down with the help of Chakla belan OR Press this by hand.
- Once you make all this mathari, put some 5-6 cuts with help of Knife, so it won’t be fluffy like puri.
- Prepare all the matharies in same manner
- Matharies are ready to fry
- Take Oil in heated Pan
- Place all Matharies in oil
- Flip & Fry in medium flame
- All Matharies are fried Golden Brown
- Take them out
Serving & Platting
- Serve with Tea
